Enhance your skills in cooking, preparing and finishing more complex dishes tailored towards the aerospace industry for a career within the RAF. You will gain valuable and real experiences in the College’s on-site restaurant – The Gallery Kitchen, during enrichment activities alongside the RAF such as station visits, on a week-long residential, outdoor and through adventurous activities, with the opportunity to undertake significant work experience within the catering sector.
This course is 60% College and 40% industry structured.
On successful completion of this course, you are guaranteed a place on RAF Basic Recruit Training (subject to RAF entry criteria) and will be well-equipped to pass first time. If you decide not to enter the RAF, you can also progress to employment in your chosen sector in roles such as a Kitchen Assistant, Front of House Supervisor, Commis Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie, or undertake an Apprenticeship.
4 GCSEs at grades 4/c or above in English and/or maths, or a Level 2 catering qualification.
