Ambitions offers a five day service, Monday to Friday, all year service apart from a Christmas Break.

Adult Day Services from New College StamfordACTIVITIES and FACILITIES

Service users can get involved with a wide range of activities and experiences within our developed facilities including fully adjustable kitchens, sensory room, horticulture cabin, green house, and technology suite. Our personal care suite also caters for individuals with these needs.

Service users also have access to excellent facilities in the wider college including the library, bistro, hair and beauty salon, and sports facilities.

COST

£65 per day. Funding may be available via Adult Social Care for those eligible.

Our timetable is flexible and always changing to offer different opportunities. Individualised timetables and work experiences can be offered to run alongside the set programmes.

ACTIVITIES

Monday Creativity and Life Skills Based in our Independence Skills Centre we offer quiet space, personal care suite, sensory room, fantastic technology and adjustable kitchen. Service Users can participate in craft activities and music. We also look at developing basic life skills including kitchen skills.
Tuesday Indepedent Living and Community Inclusion Independent Living Skills includes personal hygiene, domestic skills, food production, health and safety, and money management through practical activities and workshops.
Community Inclusion develops independent travel skills, using public transport, accessing local community events, attending or hosting our own fundraising events, and accessing sports and social groups.
Wednesday Creative and Active Service users can access a drama, music and dance group facilitated on site for half a day. The other half will be spent participating in exercise or sports activities, either group games, community walk or using the local gym.
Thursday Enterprise and Employability Service Users will be part of an enterprise group making, packaging and selling their produce at our high street shop and college stall. All aspects of business are undertaken by service users. We also develop transferable work skills, developing CVs and interview techniques.
