The excellent reputation of Make Up artists studying Hair and Media Make Up courses at New College Stamford saw 4 students exclusively asked to provide the hair and make up for a fashion feature in this month’s Stamford Living magazine.
The shoot covered the transformation of 7 local hard-working teachers, who volunteered to be made-over and take advantage of a much needed post-Christmas boost from our talented students.
The 4 students – Imogen-Sabrina Isaacs, Mollie Cook, Malak Al Obaydi and Karolina Bubala are currently studying all aspects of theatrical and media make-up, including the application of special effects make-up, wigs and prosthetic pieces.
Working with professional photographer Ellie Dean, the brief was to complete both the hair and make up to give the teachers a more glamorous look for outside the classroom. This involved the students planning a face chart for each of the teachers to ensure their features were brighter and enhanced in the photographs.
The fashion shoot was held at Stamford Welland Academy and was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with the school and local businesses, and to showcase their skills to potential employers on a real-life photo-shoot.
