New Build, New Future!

Campus 21

New College Stamford’s exciting new plans for its Drift Road Campus development “Campus 21” were published this week.

Despite the disappointment of the majority of 2009 Learning & Skills Council capital funding awards -which led to a number of UK capital developments to be postponed, New College Stamford is in the most fortunate position to be able to continue with the visionary and phased development of its existing facilities. Campus 21 will see the creation of a new welcome zone which will include superb restaurant, art gallery, seminar suite and gateway services.

The Chair of New College Stamford’s Governors Pat Friend said, "Campus 21 will ensure that New College Stamford continues to put the learner first, the priority of the Board of Governors and indeed all those at the College.”

College Principal Miles Dibsdall added; “Campus 21 ideally places the College in a position to meet the needs of its learners and provide that ‘Xtra factor-an essential part of the New College Stamford experience.”

The College has also significantly invested in a number of other developments including the new urban farm and the Wella Hair Academy featuring an exclusive 90 station Hair Design Centre.

Mr Dibsdall said; "We are focussed on enhancing our outstanding facilities and resources for the benefit of Stamford’s learner and the extended community. The College is determined to ensure that it meets and exceeds all expectations. Camps 21 will not only allow us enable us to further showcase the achievements of our learners but highlight the College as the outstanding provider that it is."

Building works have now been confirmed to begin in April and Campus 21 will be completed by October 2010.
