Music students from New College Stamford planned and performed on a recent tour of local schools to showcase their latest work which was a huge success. It was a collaborative effort allowing music performance students to develop their live music performance skills whilst music production students staged the light and sound for the events developing their understanding of stage production and events management. Students ran the project in its entirety and feedback from audiences was amazing!

The music courses are designed to be as practical as possible preparing students for the demands of the industry and developing the skills needed to become a successful musician, producer or sound engineer. The next project students are looking forward to is the annual Battle of the Bands competition where local schools are invited to compete and can win a day in our state-of-the-art recording studio and a performance slot at our ‘Party in the Car Park’ later in the year!

Infinity Radio will also be back on air in March 2019 where students will be performing live on air and broadcast for a week on 87.9FM as well as online. In addition, the highly-anticipated Infinity EP volume 7 will be available to stream online from all major retailers/streaming services from January 2019.
