New College Stamford’s annual Fashion Show was once again another success, with students showcasing their outstanding talent and eclectic designs on the catwalk at Borderville Sports Centre.
Students studying Fashion, Hairdressing, Hair and Media Make-up, Performing Arts and Photography collaborated to deliver a spectacular show, putting their creativity and inspiration into practice.
All garments were meticulously hand-crafted from scratch and have been in-the-making throughout the year, reflecting the level of skill and attention that had been implemented into each and every design.
We were delighted to welcome back some of our former students on our judging panel, including Amy McNeill who is now working at Joules Head Office, Beth Helliwell, Stylist at Yours Clothing and Victoria Kelly-Gobuiwang, student at world renowned Art University ‘Central Saint Martins’ and Student of the Year 2016 Winner.
Eden Loweth who was labelled by Sunday Times Style Magazine as one of “British fashion’s brightest talents’, was unfortunately not able to attend the Fashion Show and be part of the judging panel, as he was busy preparing his own fashion stand at Selfridges in London.
Winners in Fashion included Aubyn Rhodes-Lewis, who took home the “Alumni Vote”, Roma Taylor, winner of the “Fashion Extended Diploma” and Fern Westgarth, who won the award for “Midsummer Night’s Dream”.
The winner of the Fashion Show’s Hair category “Fantasy Total Look” was awarded to Fiona Beaton-Thorne, who took 1st place. 2nd place was awarded to Yvonne Green, whilst 3rd place went to Jade Walker.
