Travel and Tourism student Kim Evans is celebrating after securing a two year management trainee placement at industry renowned Concord Hotels Group.

Due to the outstanding calibre of students attracted by New College Stamford, the hotel group have an established relationship with the College and visit yearly as guest speakers to seek candidates and promote their opportunities to work for some of the Country’s first-class hotels.

This year saw another amazing student selected by the group who were delighted to offer Kim a position on the programme. Kim’s success has seen her awarded a competitive salary package, including accommodation and exposure to varying types of hotel environment to enhance her knowledge and ensure she gains  all-round operational experience for her future development.

The programme is endorsed by the Institute of Hospitality and will see Kim spend six months each at four hotels. Since the programme was established in 1968, more than 1,100 students have successfully gone on to take up senior roles in the hotel and hospitality industry highlighting what an amazing achievement it is for  Kim to be selected for such a prestigious opportunity.
