Our inspiring Skills for Work and Living students enjoyed their awards ceremony hosted here at New College Stamford.

The annual award ceremony is a celebration of the student’s outstanding commitment and progress, not only in college but also to their studies and personal achievements over the past academic year. The ceremony showcases the determination and level of skill that students at New College Stamford possess.

A touching moment occurred when Posh Winger Marcus Maddison, surprised one of our students, Ben Parrish, by presenting him an award after undertaking work experience with the club. Ben started his placement at the Posh ground who was very shy and lacked in confidence, but Ben ended his 3 weeks with the ability to believe in himself, making work related decisions and gained confidence to ask questions when needed.

Rob Bradshaw of Peterborough United Football ground said of Ben ‘I am very proud of what Benjamin has achieved over the past 3 weeks, this is down to the dedication and enthusiasm shown within himself which has led to excellent results in his ability.’
