Back in February New College Stamford had the honor of hosting the Association of Hairdressing and Therapy awards at our very own Borderville Sports Centre.

A tremendous amount of work went into organizing the awards from our beauty department but it was all worth it in the end as our students completely wiped the floor and we took home 7 awards! Including gender transformation, ladies evening style, cut and blow dry, gents long finish and bridal.

Our winners were then sent to Blackpool to the AHT awards finals on Sunday. The students flew the flag for New College Stamford and again came home victorious with our most victorious set of awards and highest standard yet!

1st place Chloe McConnell – Ladies evening style

1st place Millie-Ann Bursnoll – Gents long finish

2nd place Evie Lockwood – Gender transformation

2nd place Millie –Ann Bursnoll – Cut and blow dry

3rd place Fiona Beaton-Thorne – Cut and blow dry

3rd place Zoe Herd and Ella Louise Perkins – Team Bridal

3rd place Fiona Beaton-Thorne – Gents long finish

We are extremely proud of our Hair and beauty students who have set the standard for our college and achieved great success. We have ‘The Darkest hour’ make-up artist David Malinowski coming into the college to do a talk on his Oscar and BAFTA awards this week, maybe our students could be set for an Oscar win themselves one day going by their hard work and success at the awards?
