Talented Photography student, Lucy Fradley from Peterborough is set to have her work take pride of place in an exhibition at The Strand Gallery in London.
Whilst studying A Levels at New College Stamford, Lucy entered the British Humanist Association Happiness competition and won an amazing 1st AND 2nd place. Alongside having both of her entries featured in the central London exhibition, Lucy also received £300 in photography vouchers to help her develop her talents.
She said, “The photographs I entered were part of my A Level course work and were judged by editors of magazines, so it is amazing to have been recognised by professionals from the industry. It’s a great opportunity to get my name out there!”
Lucy’s work will be showcased for one week at The Strand Gallery from Wednesday 25th November – Monday 30th November. Her photographs demonstrate her perception of happiness, capturing the essence of the happiness in her local community of Peterborough and Stamford.
Showcasing her work at The Strand Gallery exhibition will give Lucy a valuable opportunity to gain real feedback for her photography from the general public and critiques alike, an excellent step in the development of her portfolio.
With a huge range of Creative Arts courses, including A Levels in Fine Art, Textiles, Graphic Design, Photography, 3D Design and Media, students regularly have the opportunity to exhibit their work to the public locally, nationally or even internationally developing their skills and receiving valuable feedback along the way.
