Department overview

The UK government are funding selected level 2 and 3 qualifications in specific subjects to support young people to remain engaged with education, employment and training and to enable a more productive economy.

This is a one-off intervention in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you are 18 or 19 years old, and have unfortunately had plans to pursue training or employment that are now no longer available, this additional year of study could improve your prospects.

Health and Social Care gives you lots of different options I gained hand on experience I needed to secure two unconditional offers at University to study Psychology!


Studying Carpentry has provided me the knowledge to progress to a degree in Construction at University Centre Stamford, and pursue a career in Site Management.
