Department overview

Study a range of hands-on and practical courses in all aspects of mechanics including both motor vehicle and motor sport. You will work in our brand new state-of-the-art workshops built as part of our £3.5 million Construction and Automotive Skills Centre, and utilise excellent links with local employers who provide work experience opportunities so you are fully prepared for work when you successfully complete your course.

You will also have the opportunity to work on projects such as building and maintaining a banger racing car and a kit car to broaden your knowledge and skills ready for your progression in to employment.
