On completion of this course, you can progress to the Exploring Animals, Horticulture and Life Skills or Exploring Catering, Retail and Life Skills courses.

Who is it for?
Develop independence, social and emotional skills whilst learning about personal presentation, good health, household skills, independent living, mobility, citizenship, money handling, budgeting, employability, developing friendships, plus leisure and enrichment activities. This programme also includes sessions in English and maths, enrichment, tutorials, independence and supported study.
What is covered?
- Work-based projects in catering, horticulture, animal care and retail.
- Further develop numeracy and literacy skills through accredited Functional Skills or Stepping Stones Awards.
- Enrichment, tutorials, independence skills and supported study.
- Students will be assessed throughout the year and will build an evidence portfolio.

No formal qualification are required.
You will be assessed on your progress throughout the year and build a portfolio of evidence. The work is validated by an external verifier from RARPA. Functional skills will involve tests at the appropriate level.
