Who is it for?
This course is best suited for those who want to develop their knowledge and skills in sport and public services. You will take part in sport activities and learn how the body works and some of the key skills required for public service employment. You will also develop key skills in English, maths and ICT to develop your independence and employability. You will have the opportunity to take part in trips and activities arranged by a range of the public service and sport guest speakers and other services. Throughout the year there will be opportunities to volunteer and enhance your CV through community projects.

This qualification requires at least Entry Level 3 in English and maths, and the ability to demonstrate an interest in the subject We will review each application on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get a place on the course most suitable for you.
This is a Vocational Studies course which is aimed to prepare for entry into the public services. It consists of both practical and theory lessons and is highly disciplined to implement how the services will be upon entry. You will learn through group work, peer assessment, individual tasks, methods of ILT and powerpoint presentations.
There will be a variety of coursework orientated assessment methods used (written assessments, observations, presentations and discussions being some) you will gain a thorough understanding of the evidence they are expected to produce.
This course is a Sport and Public Services combined course and therefore you will choose what uniform you want whether this is the Sport uniform or Public Services uniform.
