On successful completion of this course you could progress on to the Public Services or Sport Diploma Level 2, or enter employment.

Who is it for?

This course is best suited for those who want to develop their knowledge and skills in sport and public services. You will take part in sport activities and learn how the body works and some of the key skills required for public service employment. You will also develop key skills in English, maths and ICT to develop your independence and employability. You will have the opportunity to take part in trips and activities arranged by a range of the public service and sport guest speakers and other services. Throughout the year there will be opportunities to volunteer and enhance your CV through community projects.

You will study the following units: Taking part in exercise and fitness How the body works Exploring career choices Expedition skills Introduction to security procedures Working in sports and active leisure Taking part in sports
