Most students progress from Pathways to a mainstream course in their chosen vocational area. There are opportunities to progress to a Supported Internship or the Employability Course.

Who is it for?
This course aims to give you skills and confidence to make the transition to further learning in the main college environment, or progress towards employment. You will choose to specialise in your own vocational subject area, which includes: Animal Care, Art, Business & IT, Catering, Childcare, Construction, Hair & Beauty, Motor Vehicle, Public Services and Sport. These programmes also include sessions in English and Maths, enrichment, tutorials, independence and supported study.Â

- Employability
- Sex and relationships
- Alcohol and drug awareness
- Young people
- Law and order

No formal qualifications are required.
You will be assessed on their progress throughout the year and build a portfolio of evidence. The work is validated by an external verifier from AIM Awards. Functional skills will involve tests at the appropriate level.
If you choose Health and Social Care you will require a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service), we will contact you with more details on how to apply for this once you have been offered a place on the course. You will be provided with opportunities to develop skills that support your social and personal development, and undertake employability sessions including work experience. All of our programmes are underpinned by the opportunity to develop life skills. These include: independent living skills, communication development, travel training and safety in the community. Some vocational options will involve the purchase of equipment or uniform.
