Course overview
Develop your professional and specialist skills in hairdressing or barbering to become a Lead or Senior Stylist, through the study of creativity and development of advanced hairdressing or barbering skills. As a Lead or Senior Stylist, you will be repsonsible for customer satisfaction and maintaining a clientele for the business.
What Does The Programme Include
You will be employed as an apprentice for at least 30 hours a week. You will have a workplace mentor or supervisor who will be responcible for your training and welfare at work. You will attend college for workshop sessions as required. An assessor will visit you in the workplace to assess your progress against standards and set SMART objectives.
Entry Requirements
Individual employers set their own entry requirements, however, you will typically require 5 GCSEs at grades 4/C or above including English and maths.
Potential Future Career
As a fully competent Lead or Senior Stylist in a Hairdresser’s or Baber Shop, you can further your progression by undertaking additional qualifications or open your own salon.
