Course overview

This apprenticeship has been designed to provide you with training and development to become an Assistant Accountant. You will gain experience in the workplace through studying units such as; business awareness, accountancy tools and data, financial accounting and reporting, management accounting and communications.

 

What Does The Programme Include

You will be employed as an apprentice for at least 30 hours a week.

You will have a workplace mentor or supervisor who will be responcible for your training and welfare at work. You will attend college for AAT classes. An assessor will visit you in the workplace to assess your progress against standards and set SMART objectives.

Entry Requirements

Individual employers set their own entry requirements. However, you will typically require 5 GCSEs at grades 4/​C or above including English and maths.

How The Course Will Be Assessed

An assessor will visit you in the workplace to assess your progress against standards and set SMART objectives.

Potential Future Career

As a fully competent Assistant Accountant, this apprenticeship will allow you to progress to a number of careers in the accounting sector in roles such as: Audit Trainee, Corporate Recovery Analyst, Credit Controller or Tax Accountant.
