Course overview
The City & Guilds Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment has been developed as a professional qualification for learners wishing to become an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA). The aims of this qualification is to meet the needs of candidates who work or want to work as a Domestic Energy Assessor in the property sector and to allow candidates to learn, develop and practise the skills required for employment and/or career progression in the property sector.

This course consists of 2 days of classroom base sessions and 2 days of immersive room.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for candidates undertaking the qualification. However, centres must ensure that candidates have the potential and opportunity to successfully gain the qualification.

Learners may wish to progress on to higher level qualifications in Energy Assessment. Learners may also wish to become a retro fit industry the Level 3 Certificate in Domestic Energy Assessment qualification will support you in progressing onto the Level 4 Award in Domestic Retrofit Assessment.
Course Content
- Unit 331 – Conduct energy assessments in a safe, effective and professional manner.
Assessment methods – Portfolio This unit will be assessed via observation and the development of a portfolio in a working environment and will be assessed to the assessment criteria set out in the unit. - Unit 332 — Prepare for energy assessments of domestic property.
Assessment method — Assignment 6361 – 332 The assessment covers the practical activities for all outcomes and will also sample underpinning knowledge to verify coverage of the unit. City & Guilds devised assignment, internally marked, externally verified. - Unit 333 — Undertake energy inspections.
