Practical Vs Theory
Course overview
Develop a range of skills and gain fundamental knowledge of the Business sector. You will explore the areas that specifically interest you such as finance, customer service, marketing or small business management.
This course provides you with transferable, interpersonal skills valued by employers and universities. We also work in partnership with local/global businesses to provide a recruitment and selection day (linked to course units) to provide a realistic experience of the recruitment process for an apprenticeship.
In addition, business entrepreneurs provide a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style event to support completion of a business enterprise unit, business planning and to develop presentation skills. The marketing units are supported by trips to Sacrewell Farm and Cadbury’s World where branding techniques are explored to support completion of the units.
What Does The Programme Include
You will produce a variety of documents throughout your course some of which will be used for internal assessment. You will complete written reports, create financial documents, independent projects, posters, displays and leaflets, recordings or interviews and role plays, log books and reflective journals and presentations. These learning methods are designed to support your individual learning style.
