Practical Vs Theory
Develop a range of skills and gain fundamental knowledge of the Business sector. You will explore the areas that specifically interest you such as finance, customer service, marketing or small business management.
This course provides you with transferable, interpersonal skills valued by employers and universities. We also work in partnership with local/global businesses to provide a recruitment and selection day (linked to course units) to provide a realistic experience of the recruitment process for an apprenticeship.
In addition, business entrepreneurs provide a ‘Dragon’s Den’ style event to support completion of a business enterprise unit, business planning and to develop presentation skills. The marketing units are supported by trips to Sacrewell Farm and Cadbury’s World where branding techniques are explored to support completion of the units.
What Does The Programme Include
You will produce a variety of documents throughout your course some of which will be used for internal assessment. You will complete written reports, create financial documents, independent projects, posters, displays and leaflets, recordings or interviews and role plays, log books and reflective journals and presentations. These learning methods are designed to support your individual learning style.
The standard entry requirements for a Level 2 course are 4 GCSEs at grades 3/D or above including English and maths, or a Level 1 qualification plus maths and English GCSE at 3 or functional skills. P>
We will review each application on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get a place on the course most suitable for you
One of the ways we do this is through a very effective ‘6 weeks to success programme’ that operates from the first day you start your course. This includes support such as (but not limited to) :
- Allowing you to change courses if you change your mind in the first 6 weeks — subject to course availability
- Moving you between course levels if you are finding your current level too easy / too hard — subject to course availability
- Enrolling you on GCSE maths and English if you have not passed with a grade 4
- One-to-one reviews with your academic tutor to ensure you are progressing and achieving well
You will need to pass your Level 2, and GCSE maths and English to progress on to a Level 3 course.
Our course enquiries and admissions team can be contacted on email@example.com should you have any further questions.
How The Course Will Be Assessed
