Course overview
CCNA Routing and Switching provides a comprehensive overview of networking concepts and skills, from network applications to the protocols and services provided to those applications by the lower layers of the network, with an emphasis on practical application, work-force readiness, and soft-skills development. You will progress from basic networking to more complex enterprise and theoretical networking models later in the curriculum.
This course is suitable for anyone who already works in the networking industry and wants to work towards an industry standard qualification, or someone who does not currently work in the networking industry, but wants to gain the skills and knowledge that will help get into the industry.
Duration: Maximum of 36 weeks. Self-directed study and online training could encourage early completion. Practial attendance is one Tuesday evening per week for 2 hours, term-time only.

What Does The Programme Include
A combination of on-line self-study and workshops to develop practical skills.
How The Course Will Be Assessed
There is a multiple-choice exam and practical skills test for each module. Each exam has a pass mark of 70%.
Chapter quizzes, exams and practice final exams and skills tests are available to support preparation for each of the final exams and skills tests.
Additional Information
You can take more than one module over the 36 weeks of the course.

- CCNA R&S: Routing and Switching Essentials.
- CCNA R&S: Scaling Networks.
- CCNA R&S: Connecting Networks.
Please note that studying towards the Cisco CCNA R&S does NOT provide you with the certification. It only provides you with the skills & knowledge to enable you to take the certification exam at an authorised certification centre, such as Cisco Pearson Vue Exam Centre- for which there is an additional fee paid to the Exam Centre.
