Want to get started in the hospitality industry? You might want to work as a chef, kitchen assistant, housekeeper, waitress or hotel receptionist. Whatever area you’re interested in, we have an introductory Certificate to suit you.
This course is your first step to a career in the hospitality and catering industry and covers all the basic duties to become a chef, from maintaining a safe place to work to preparing and cooking food items. You will also gain front-of-house and customer service skills by putting what you have learnt into practice in the College’s restaurant- The Gallery Kitchen.
On succesful completion of this course you will gain a dual qualification:
- Food preparation and Cooking Certificate Level 1 (7131−03)
- Food and Beverage Service Certificate Level 1 (7131−02)
