Hairdressing Diploma Level 1

Course overview

Gain an introduction to hairdressing whilst working in our fully equipped salons. You will study basic hairdressing techniques including: how to style women’s and men’s hair, shampoo and conditioning, consultation and customer service. 30% theory and 70% practical. You will study a range of units including: 

  • Health and Safety

  • Customer Service

  • Consultation

  • Shampooing and Conditioning

  • Styling and Dressing Hair

 

What Does The Programme Include

You will learn through practical demonstrations and practice what you have learnt on real, paying clients in our commercial salon.

Entry Requirements

No formal qualifications required.

How The Course Will Be Assessed

You will be assessed through practical observations, online tests and oral questions. You will also complete assignments to develop your theory knowledge.

Additional Information

Students will be required to purchase a kit and uniform. Students are also required to source clients for practical learning.

Potential Future Career

After successful completion of this course, you could progress onto the Hairdressing Diploma Level 2 or a Hair Professional Apprenticeship.
