Course overview

This qualification will give learners a basic understanding of childcare and education, parenting and babysitting. It will also help them to make an informed choice about working with children and young people.

 

How The Course Will Be Assessed

You will be assessed via a portfolio of evidence.

Potential Future Career

On successful completion of the Certificate you can progress to the Level 2 Certificate for the Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification.

  • Use food and nutrition information to play a healthy diet

  • Accident prevention and fire safety when babysitting

  • Children’s play and leisure activities in the community
  • Sharing learning experiences with children
