This is a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification for anyone interested in a career in counselling, support workers, customer service staff and new managers/team leaders. You will gain an awareness of a range of counselling skills and how to use them through interactive practical exercises.
It is designed to provide education and training for those who may use counselling skills when working with others. This can be in any field which involves interacting with other people – from customer services, nurses to managers. It is useful for a wide variety of people. It gives opportunities for those who may use counselling skills when working with others to achieve a nationally-recognised, Level 2, vocationally-specific qualification. It will also help you to enter employment in fields working with people or to progress to further vocational qualifications such as the Certificate in Counselling Skills Level 3. The course will give you the knowledge, understanding and skills you need as an introduction to counselling skills. It gives you opportunities to develop a range of skills and techniques, personal qualities and attributes essential for successful performance in working life.
This qualification does not qualify learners to practice as a counsellor.
