Course overview
Sport is currently one of the fastest-growing industries in the UK and offers a huge range of professions in a variety of different areas up to international level. This course is designed to focus on your own performance through coaching, fitness training, technology, psychology or nutrition.
What Does The Programme Include
Learning will be delivered through; Group work Peer assessment Individual tasks Methods of ILT Power point presentations Guest Speakers Field Trips.
Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs at grades 3/D or above including English and maths.
Need to re-sit? No problem. If you don’t achieve a Grade 4/C at GCSE maths and English, you’ll resit the exams with us and we’ll help you prepare.
How The Course Will Be Assessed
Students are assessed via course work but also with a mixture of assessment methods such as audio presentations, written reports, discussions and practical assessments.
Additional Information
You will need to be prepared to undertake rigorous fitness tests within some of the units.
Potential Future Career
On successful completion of this course, you can progress to the Sport and Exercise Science, Sport Development Coaching and Fitness, or Football Development Diplomas Level 3, or job roles such as an Outdoor Activity Team Leader, Community Sports Officer or Recreation Assistant.
