Course overview
The Level 3 certificate provides a pathway for you to understand assessment and qualify as an assessor.
The course runs twice per year and is delivered on a Wednesday from 5.00 – 6.30pm on alternate weeks (excluding college holidays, see Term dates).
There are 7 delivery sessions plus additional tutorial sessions to support you in your assessments. These will be arranged with you at a time convenient to you and your tutor.

What Does The Programme Include

Entry Requirements
You will need the following:
- Level 3 qualification in your subject area
- Ideally, a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Access to two candidates who you can assess through two units each on an accredited qualification
- To be part of a team including an IQA and an experienced assessor who can countersign your work
How The Course Will Be Assessed
Assessment will include a series of written assignments, observations, professional discussions and presentations to peers. All the evidence of these tasks will be used to create your portfolio.

Potential Future Career
Having completed this course students who are also involved in Internal Verification can progress to the TAQA Level 4 Award in Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practices.
