What Does The Programme Include

You will learn through a combination of independent and group activities including lectures, seminars, trips, visits and work-related experiences.

Entry Requirements

  • Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory Level 3
  • The ability to secure 100 hours of counselling practice

How The Course Will Be Assessed

A range of assessment methods will be used including reports, presentations, essays, and research projects. Teamwork in assessment is also encouraged at this level of learning. There are no exams for this course, you will build a portfolio of assignments.

Fees, Finance & Funding

£5,000 in total.

You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan of £2,882 over 2 years leaving £1,059 to pay each year.

Potential Future Career

This course qualifies you at practitioner level as a Counsellor. You could gain employment in the counselling field or related psychological professions.

Successful completion of this course will provide you with the qualifications required to top-up’ to a full Bachelor’s Degree at university in just one year.

Acceptance on to these courses is at the discretion of the institution offering the top-up.

You will have access to various study facilities including a recently refurbished Library where you’ll have access to books, journals and computers. You will also have study support throughout your course to assist you with your studies.

You will also have access to an Academic Support Tutor to assist you with your studies and careers advisors to help you with your future employment.
