Unsure what course to study?

You just need to answer three simple questions about your study preferences, interests and predicted grades and we can suggest courses that might suit you.

  • 1 Study type
  • 2 Your Interests
  • 3 Your Grades
Question 1

How would you prefer to study?

Question 2

What are your interests?

Question 3

What grades have you achieved or are predicted?

These results are a suggestion of courses you may want to explore but are by no means a definitive list and individual entry requirements do apply.

Department overview

Apprenticeships combine on the job training with formal learning opportunities in College or at one of our training locations. Apprentices will develop sector specific skills, knowledge and behaviours as they work through a programme of learning and an Assessment Plan that has been developed by employers. Every year the college's Apprenticeships Team work with local and regional employers to train over 400 of our apprentices in their chosen profession. Our dedicated Apprenticeships Team are on hand to support employers and candidates throughout the Apprenticeship journey to ensure you get the most out of the process.

Case Studies

Studying an apprenticeship allowed me to carry out my training at one of England’s best known motorcycle manufacturers - Herald Motor Co.

I've always been a hands-on learner so studying an apprenticeship has been perfect for me. The practical skills i gained helped me secure a full time position at one of the regions top builders.

Studying in the work place means I can gain the real-life, hands on experience I need to progress in the early years sector!
