Diplomas

Apprenticeships
An Apprenticeship allows you to work for a real employer, earning a wage while you learn and gain a recognised qualification. It combines on-the-job training with classroom study, giving you practical experience alongside your education.
A Levels
A Levels are academic, subject-based qualifications usually studied over two years, focusing on theory and exams. They are the traditional route for students aiming to apply to university.
T Levels
T Levels are two-year technical qualifications designed with employers to give you skills for the workplace. They mix classroom learning with a substantial industry placement, offering a high-level alternative to A Levels for practical careers.

Yes, they are. A single T Level is the academic equivalent of three A Levels and carries the same number of UCAS points. While A Levels are subject-based and assessed mostly through exams, T Levels are career-focused and combine classroom learning with a substantial industry placement.
It depends on the route you choose. If you study A Levels, you will typically pick three different subjects to study alongside each other. However, if you choose a Diploma or a T Level, you will usually study just that one course, as it is a full-time programme designed to cover everything you need for that specific career.
The current minimum wage for apprentices is £7.55 per hour if you are under 19 or in the first year of your training. If you are 19 or over and have completed your first year, you are entitled to the higher National Minimum Wage for your age group, which can be up to £12.21 per hour.
