Who is it for?

Environmental scientists are critical to addressing global environmental challenges. The Environmental Science course enables students to gain a well-informed insight into the environment, and the scientific processes that control and affect it.

The central theme is an understanding of how different events and cycles within the environment interrelate, the human impacts on these events and cycles, and the strategies that can be used to minimise the problems caused. Consideration of environmental issues is based on evidence-based information and an understanding of how society works. Students will develop an in-depth understanding of both of these approaches.

      5 GCSEs at Grade 5/C or above including maths and double 5/C in Double Science.

       For Environmental Science 5 x 5 grades including maths and 55 at Double Science. Overall at least 10% of the marks in assessments for Environmental Science will require the use of mathematical skills.

      These skills will be applied in the context of environmental science and will be at least the standard of higher tier GCSE mathematics It is recommended that you check the entry requirements for the degree courses / career paths you are considering. We will review each application on a case-by-case basis to ensure you get a place on the course most suitable for you.

      We offer an online interview which will explain the A Level programme and also allow for an informal chat with the tutor for each subject before an offer to study with us can be made to you.
