Exploring Catering, Retail and Life Skills Entry Level 2 and 3

On completion of this course, you could progress onto Employability Plus, Supported Internship, or in some cases, the Towards Vocational Studies course.

Students will undertake learning in a range of realistic working environments. Students will learn how to prepare, cook and serve a range of dishes and also learn other work-related tasks such as safe storage of food and cleaning food areas. Students will be assessed on their progress throughout the year and will build an evidence portfolio. Includes sessions in English and Maths, Enrichment, Tutorials, Independent Living Skills and supported study. All of our programmes are underpinned with the opportunity to develop life skills, communication development and safety in the community. Much of the curriculum will be working towards individual targets and EHCP outcomes if applicable.

Students will learn how to prepare, cook and serve a range of dishes and also learn other work-related tasks. Students will develop retail, customer service and business skills and undertake work experience in real catering and retail environments. Students will be assessed on their progress throughout the year and will build an evidence portfolio. Includes sessions in English and maths enrichment, tutorials, independence and supported study. Functional Skills will involve tests at the appropriate level.
