Upon successful completion of the Early Years Educator T Level – Teaching Assistant Pathway programme, graduates will be well-prepared for various career opportunities in the field of early childhood education and teaching assistance, including: Teaching Assistant: Assist educators and teachers in early years and primary school classrooms. Childcare Assistant: Work in childcare centres, preschools, and after-school programmes. Special Education Assistant: Support children with diverse needs in inclusive education settings. The purpose of the T Level (technical qualification), is to ensure you have the knowledge and skills needed to progress into skilled employment, higher-level technical training or a university programme within the education sector.

This course offers you an attractive alternative to A Levels and apprenticeships. An industry-based work placement is required to run alongside your course, this must be a minimum of 750 hours and will further reinforce your newly learned skills and offer a true insight into the childcare industry. The T-Level programme – Level 3 in Education and Childcare (Assistant Teaching) is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of early childhood education and the essential skills required to support educators and children in educational settings. This two-year course prepares students for rewarding careers as teaching assistants, focusing on the needs of young learners.

Additional qualifications may be required to work in some sectors.
