Air and Defence Alumni Inspire Students During National Careers Week 2025

We were thrilled to welcome back Air and Defence alumni Oisin Mutch-McDonald and Callum Thacker as part of National Careers Week 2025.

Current Air and Defence students gained invaluable insights into life in the Royal Air Force, hearing first-hand about the experiences and career journeys of two former Stamford learners.

Callum, serving as an RAF Mover, and Oisin, a Cyberspace Communications Specialist, shared their personal stories, providing students with a detailed look into their day-to-day roles, the RAF recruitment process, and the skills and dedication required to succeed in the forces. Their presentations offered a realistic and inspiring perspective on military careers, while also highlighting the opportunities for professional and personal development within the RAF.

Stamford College is grateful to Oisin and Callum for returning to share their experiences and inspire the next generation of Air and Defence students. Their visit reinforced the importance of ambition, resilience, and practical preparation for students considering careers in the armed forces.
