Art and Design Students One World Week Exhibition
Stamford College Level 3 Art and Design students recently held a student exhibition at The Stamford Arts Centre as part of One World Week.
The exhibition, installed ahead of the preview event on Tuesday, October 21st, gave students the chance to present their creative work to the local community and celebrate global cultures and issues.
As in previous years, the exhibition preview featured live music, Fair Trade snacks, and an open bar, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for attendees. Students, their families, friends, and members of the wider community were all invited to view the exhibition and enjoy the festivities.
One World Week is an annual event that celebrates global citizenship, cultural diversity, and social responsibility. It encourages individuals and communities to explore international issues, promote understanding across cultures, and take action for a fairer and more sustainable world.
Our Level 3 Art and Design students benefit greatly from showcasing their work to the public. By creating artwork in their own styles while responding to a set brief, they develop essential creative and professional skills, gain experience presenting work in a professional setting, and build confidence.
