Bridging Generations: Stamford College Students Honour Holocaust Memorial Day Through Art
Creative Arts students from Stamford College have unveiled a powerful new art exhibition at Stamford Town Council Hall to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.
This year’s campaign, themed “Bridging Generations,” focuses on the vital role the younger generation plays in preserving the memory of the Holocaust and ensuring its lessons are never forgotten.
The exhibition features a diverse range of moving pieces created by the students to honour and remember the millions of people who lost their lives. Through various mediums, the students explored the responsibility of carrying history forward, using their creative talents to bridge the gap between the past and the present.
By engaging with such a profound theme, the Creative Arts department aimed to encourage students to reflect on the impact of the Holocaust while developing artwork that speaks to the importance of empathy and remembrance.
The stunning collection of work serves as a respectful tribute, inviting the local community to join in a moment of collective reflection at the Town Council Hall.
Stamford College is incredibly proud of the sensitivity and dedication shown by the students in producing these lovely and thought-provoking pieces. Their work ensures that the stories of the past continue to be told by the voices of the future.
