Catmose College Students Explore Future Career Paths at Stamford College Construction Workshops

Stamford College was delighted to welcome Year 10 students from Catmose College for an exciting and immersive day of Construction workshops.

The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to explore the wide range of careers available within the construction industry while experiencing life in a real college environment.

Throughout the day, students took part in practical sessions across electrical, carpentry, bricklaying and plumbing, guided by Stamford College’s expert staff and supported by current Construction students. This hands-on approach allowed the visitors to try out industry tools, learn new skills, and gain genuine insight into the techniques used across each trade.

The workshops offered an inspiring introduction to the world of construction, helping students build confidence, discover new interests, and start thinking about their next steps as they explore post-16 pathways. The involvement of current students also helped demonstrate the supportive, collaborative learning community at Stamford College.
