Creative Media Students Present Work to Mayor Kelham Cooke in Celebration of Stamford’s Twinning with Ukraine
Stamford College’s Creative Media students were honoured to attend a special presentation hosted by Kelham Cooke, Mayor of Stamford, where they proudly showcased a series of powerful and imaginative projects.
The event provided students with a unique platform to share their creative work, developed in response to the historic twinning of Stamford with a community in Ukraine. Their projects reflected themes of unity, resilience, culture, and international friendship.
During the presentation, students exhibited a range of media pieces, from short films and digital artwork to documentary-style content, each capturing their interpretation of the significance of the twinning and the cultural connections it represents. Mayor Cooke praised the students for their originality, technical skill, and the sensitivity with which they approached such an important topic. Staff and guests in attendance also commended the students for their thoughtful storytelling and professional-standard production.
This collaboration demonstrates Stamford College’s commitment to providing meaningful, real-world opportunities for learners to apply their creative abilities and engage with global issues. The College is immensely proud of the students’ achievements and the role their work plays in celebrating the strengthening bond between Stamford and its Ukrainian twin community.
