Driving Dreams: Former Motor Vehicle Student Shares BMW Success with Peers
Tyrell Cambridge, a former Level 1 Motor Vehicle student at Stamford College, has secured a coveted spot on the esteemed training program offered by multinational manufacturer of luxury vehicles and motorcycles, BMW.
Completing his studies with Inspire Education Group (IEG) in 2023, Tyrell was sponsored by BMW to pursue both the Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications. “I used to drive past the BMW garage on my way home from College, and decided to browse for vacancies online”, Tyrell explained. “The foundational knowledge I learnt at College help me to succeed at interview stage, and before I knew it, I’d secured my dream role”.
A year on, Tyrell returned to the College to impart his experiences to the next cohort of Motor Vehicle students, accompanied by a top-spec BMW 2 Series Coupé. “Working with BMW has offered me a host of opportunities, so it’s been great to inspire students just like me. There are so many roles within the Motor Vehicle industry, and I want to show others that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve your dreams”.
When asked what advice he would give to an aspiring Stamford College student, Tyrell shared, “Just give it your all! You’ll make lots of friends and learn so much. Even when things seem challenging, the lecturers will always be there to help you. Keep persevering, and you can do anything!”.
Anton Maycock, Motor Vehicle Lecturer at Stamford College, was delighted upon Tyrell’s return, sharing, “His remarkable journey from our classroom to BMW is testament to his hard work. His success serves as a shining example for our current students, reminding them of the immense potential within their reach, as they embark on their own career paths”.
