Former Stamford College Student Opens Beauty Salon
Darcy Goldmark, former Level 2 Beauty Therapy and Level 3 Massage Therapy student of Stamford College, part of Inspire Education Group (IEG), has pursued her dream of opening a beauty salon, with Eden Beauty House opening its doors in August 2023.
“During my time at Stamford College, I made so many memories, met so many new people, and built my confidence in the industry”.

Previously attending locally-based, Uppingham Community College, Darcy is said to have found her “passion in life” on her first day at Stamford College. “Throughout my time there I received some amazing support. Sonia Waterfall specifically was an outstanding mentor and teacher, answering all my questions and always happy to help”, Darcy shared. “I made so many memories, met so many new people, and built my confidence in the industry”.
Upon completion of her course, Darcy went on to work in a small salon in Uppingham, before accepting a role at the well-renowned, Rushton Hall Hotel & Spa, where she gained three years’ experience in Elemis and Ren. From there, the opportunity arose to become the Head Therapist at Rushton’s sister hotel, Barton Hall, where Darcy qualified in Elemental Herbology.
Having gained a wealth of industry experience, Darcy decided to take a leap of faith in August 2023, opening her own salon, Eden Beauty House. “I’m all about organic, cruelty-free products. I’ve been using them since my early days as a Beautician, so they’re incorporated into the facial, massage, waxing, tinting and nail treatments I offer”, Darcy explained. “I’m so proud of the hard work I’ve poured into my business. I didn’t start with anything – no clients, no furniture – but I had an idea and went for it, and now couldn’t be happier. I have so many loyal, lovely clients, and a beautiful salon, if I do say so myself! Tucked away in the heart of Uppingham, Eden Beauty House is my little hidden gem!”.
Inspire Education Group wishes Darcy all the best in her future endeavours.
