From Arts to Apprenticeships: Stamford College Students Explore Future Pathways at Annual Careers Fair

The Stamford College Bistro was transformed into a vibrant hub of opportunity this week as the College hosted its annual Careers Fair, welcoming a diverse range of universities from across the country.

From specialist arts institutions to world-renowned veterinary universities, the room was filled with excitement as students gathered to research their next steps after college. The atmosphere reflected the ambition of our students as they explored higher education and professional training available to them.

Our students took full advantage of the day, engaging in meaningful conversations with university experts on everything from initial course inquiries to specific details for those who already hold offers. Whether they were just starting to consider their options or were looking for final reassurance before making a firm choice, the access to direct, expert advice was invaluable. The event ensured that every learner, regardless of their starting point, had the chance to hear firsthand about the requirements and rewards of their chosen paths.

In addition to the visiting institutions, the fair highlighted the options available to our students right on their doorstep. Our own University Centre Peterborough provision was in attendance to support students who prefer to stay local and benefit from the personalised environment of smaller class sizes. Meanwhile, the college’s Apprenticeships team was on hand to advise those who feel that “on the job” learning and gaining practical experience is more their style.
