Local Makeup Artist Alice Snell Inspires Next Generation of Beauty Professionals

Students at Stamford College were treated to an exclusive masterclass this week as local makeup artist Alice Snell visited the Hair and Beauty department to share her industry secrets and professional techniques.

During the interactive session, Alice spoke about the skills required to succeed in the competitive world of professional makeup, from managing client bookings to the specific application techniques she uses for her signature looks. The visit provided a rare “behind-the-scenes” look at the business side of the beauty industry, giving students a clearer picture of the career paths available to them after graduation.

The visit also involved a hands-on “kit tour,” where students were invited to explore Alice’s professional makeup kit. This gave the aspiring artists the chance to see her most-used products, learn about the importance of high-quality tools, and gain inspiration for their own kits and future work.
