Stamford College Celebrates National Supported Internship Day
Stamford College recently celebrated National Supported Internship Day with a fantastic event designed to give students meaningful insight into the world of work.
The event offered students the opportunity to engage with employers, develop key skills, and explore different job roles across a variety of industries, helping them prepare for future careers.
The day welcomed a range of employers, including major organisations such as Amazon and the NHS, who provided students with hands-on experiences, interactive workshops, and advice about workplace expectations. These activities gave learners the chance to understand different industries, ask questions, and gain practical skills that will support their career development.
Students found the event inspiring and informative, building both their confidence and employability skills while exploring roles they might pursue in the future. The experience highlighted the importance of work-based learning and the benefits of supported internships in helping students transition into meaningful employment.
A huge thank you to all the companies who attended, for giving students valuable opportunities to engage, learn, and be inspired by real-world careers.
