Stamford College Electrical Students Master Modern Industry Techniques with Gripple UK
Students on our T Level and Electrical courses recently stepped out of the classroom and into a high-energy industry challenge as they hosted experts from Gripple UK.
The bespoke workshop, delivered by Will Anderson and Tom Harris, provided students with a hands-on look at the future of the trade.
The centerpiece of the visit was a practical competition where students were challenged to install the innovative “Fast Trak” system, comparing its speed and efficiency against traditional installation methods for electrical tray supports. This head-to-head challenge allowed students to experience firsthand how modern technology is streamlining the construction industry.
Beyond the technical skills, the competition featured a unique connection to the sporting world. The winners of the challenge were awarded signed merchandise and a team photo from social media personality Steve Bracknall, Assistant Manager of Royal Oak FC. The prizes highlight the strong community ties of Gripple UK, who are the proud shirt sponsors for Royal Oak for the 2025/26 season.
Thank you to Will Anderson and Tom Harris for their time and expertise in delivering this invaluable session to our Construction students. This collaboration continues the College’s commitment to providing industry-standard training that bridges the gap between education and the trade.
