Stamford College Fashion Students Draw Inspiration from Versace Masterclass for Final Major Projects

17 March 2026

Our level 3 Fashion and Textiles students recently traded the studio to embark on an inspiring trip to Gianni Versace at The Arches, London Bridge.

The visit offered an exclusive opportunity for the group to experience a masterclass of high-end Italian glamour, where they studied the brand’s legendary approach to bold prints, intricate textures, and iconic silhouettes. This firsthand look at world-class craftsmanship provided a rare window into the history and technical skill of one of the world’s most influential fashion houses.

The timing of the trip was particularly significant, as the students are currently developing the concepts for their Final Major Projects. By engaging with the vibrant aesthetics and luxury of the Versace archive, the students have gained a wealth of primary research for their own creative directions.

From analysing clashing patterns to observing the meticulous detail in textile construction, the experience has challenged our fashion students to elevate their work as they prepare for their end-of-year showcases.

Stamford College continues to prioritise these industry-linked experiences, ensuring that students bridge the gap between classroom theory and professional practice.
