Stamford College Health & Social Care T‑Level Students Take Part in Hands-On Workshop
Health & Social Care T‑Level students at Stamford College recently participated in an engaging, practical workshop focused on essential skills for the sector.
The session included first aid essentials, such as dressing and treating wounds, giving students the opportunity to develop hands-on skills in a safe and supportive environment.
The workshop also highlighted the importance of infection prevention and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Students learned how to maintain safe and hygienic practices while caring for others, reinforcing their understanding of the professional standards required in health and social care settings. The session encouraged learners to work collaboratively, improving their teamwork and communication skills in realistic scenarios.
Experiences like this workshop give students a real taste of the challenges and responsibilities they will encounter in health and social care careers. By practising essential first aid, understanding infection control, and working effectively as part of a team, learners build confidence, competence, and professionalism, key skills that will support their success as they progress into employment, apprenticeships, or higher education.
