Stamford College Students Collaborate for Spectacular ‘WORTH IT!’ Fashion Show Celebrating the Charles Worth Bicentennial
Stamford College’s Fashion, Photography, and Hair & Media Make-up students recently collaborated to present the stunning ‘WORTH IT!’ Fashion Show, an inspiring event held as part of the Charles Worth Bicentennial Celebrations in Bourne.
The show provided students with a valuable opportunity to showcase their creativity and technical skills in front of a sell-out audience, celebrating the legacy of Charles Worth — the Bourne-born pioneer of haute couture.
Our students showcased the incredible pieces they have been creating throughout their studies, bringing their designs, concepts, and styling to life on the runway. By creating original work, styling models, and capturing the event through photography, they developed essential creative and professional skills, gained real-world experience in a professional setting, and built confidence in their craft. The ‘WORTH IT!’ Fashion Show was a fantastic celebration of creativity and collaboration, and it was wonderful to see the outstanding talent of Stamford College students on display.
The event was organised by Paradigm Arts as part of the wider Future of the Past project, which celebrates local heritage and encourages youth engagement in the arts. Stamford College is proud to have contributed to this inspiring showcase, bringing together fashion, styling, and visual arts to honour Bourne’s rich cultural history.
Stamford College would like to thank Paradigm Arts, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, SoundLincs, South Kesteven District Council (SKDC), Heritage Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire County Council, Wake House Community and Business Facility, and The Bourne History Guy for their invaluable support in making this event possible and for championing youth participation in the arts, heritage, and culture.
