Stamford College Students Secure National Final Spots After Regional AHT Victory

Students from Stamford College’s Hairdressing and Media Makeup departments are celebrating a victory following an exceptional performance at the Association of Hairdressers and Therapists (AHT) East Anglia regional heats.

Hosted at West Suffolk College, the competition saw Stamford’s talented students go head-to-head with the region’s best, securing top-tier placements across a wide variety of technical and creative categories.

The Media Makeup team displayed incredible artistry, taking home a massive haul of awards:

Casualty Makeup: 1st Place

80s Makeup: 1st & 3rd Place

High Fashion: 2nd, 3rd, & 4th Place

Body Art: 2nd Place

Drag Makeup: 2nd Place

Bridal Makeup: 3rd Place

The success continued with the Hairdressing students, who demonstrated elite technical skill by securing 1st and 3rd place in the Blow-Dry competition.

The winning students will now travel to Blackpool in May to represent the college at the AHT National Finals, competing against the very best talent from across the United Kingdom.
