Stamford College’s Seventh ‘Party in the Car Park’ Shines a Spotlight on Student Creativity

Stamford College once again brought energy and inspiration to Drift Road with the return of its annual Party in the Car Park! Now in its seventh year, the event has firmly established itself as a highlight of the academic calendar, an evening where creativity takes centre stage and the incredible talent of the College’s students is celebrated with the wider community.

The College’s main car park and Creative Arts block were transformed into a vibrant festival of expression, showcasing an impressive array of student work from across Creative Arts courses. From fashion and photography to film, fine art, and graphic design, nearly 300 students shared their portfolios with peers, family members, industry professionals, and VIP guests. The evening served not only as a celebration but also as a stepping stone for future careers in the arts and beyond.

Guests enjoyed much more than just a visual feast—live performances from Music students filled the space with energy. Ice cream and drinks from the bar helped round out the festival atmosphere. The event continued to reflect the College’s commitment to creative excellence, collaboration, and community engagement.

Rachael Cooper, Head of Faculty for Business, IT, Media, & Arts, reflected on the success of the evening, “Party in the Car Park remains such a unique and powerful event in the College calendar. To see more than 300 students proudly displaying their work and performing with such professionalism is something truly special. We couldn’t be prouder.”

Stamford Town Mayor, Amanda Wheeler was thrilled with the exhibition saying, “The work is so diverse and vibrant at Stamford College. I can’t believe these students are 16 to 18 years old, the work they’re producing is extraordinary.” She added, “good luck to all the students!”

Stamford College extends sincere thanks to everyone who attended, participated, and helped make the eighth Party in the Car Park a memorable and inspiring night. With each passing year, the event continues to grow, proving once again that creativity thrives at Stamford.
