Student Talent Shines in Stamford College’s Battle of the Bands

This week, Stamford College students took to the stage for a Battle of the Bands competition, bringing together emerging musicians across the college community for a memorable evening of live performance.

The event provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, teamwork and stage-craft in front of peers, friends and staff, reflecting the college’s commitment to practical, real-world learning in the music and performance industries. 

A wide range of acts entered the competition, from original bands to solo performers, each supported by the college’s music course staff and rehearsal facilities. The energy in the venue was electric as students applied their skills in areas such as sound engineering, stage lighting, promotion and performance, all essential components of building confidence in a live-event environment. 

The event also honoured student ambition by celebrating not just the winners, but all participants for stepping forward and delivering on the night.
