Youth Dreams Project Visits Stamford College Sports Students to Inspire the Next Generation of Coaches
Stamford College recently welcomed representatives from the Youth Dreams Project (YDP) to deliver an inspiring guest talk to Sports students, highlighting local career pathways, progression opportunities, and employment within sports coaching and physical education.
During the visit, YDP spoke with students about the transition from College into rewarding careers in the sports sector. The session provided students with clear guidance on how qualifications translate into practical coaching and mentoring roles.
The event held special significance for the department, as many Stamford College alumni have gone on to secure roles with YDP after completing their sports courses here. Seeing former students thrive in professional roles at YDP gave current students a powerful, relatable example of where their studies can lead.
YDP works closely with dozens of primary schools across Peterborough, Stamford, and the wider region to deliver high-quality Physical Education, after-school clubs, holiday camps, and targeted youth mentoring.
Everyone at Stamford College would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Youth Dreams Project for taking the time to speak with our sports students.
